This study uses documentary analysis and thematic analysis of the existing peer-reviewed literature with an emphasis on literature from the past few years in higher education, educational psychology and digital-learning scholarship to explore the scholarly literature on how academic stress, digital distraction, student engagement, and learning outcomes relate.
