This study investigates the formation of $\phi$-mesic nuclei ($\mathrm{^3_φ H}$, $\mathrm{^4_φ H}$, and $\mathrm{^4_φ He}$) in $pp$ collisions at $\sqrt{s}$ = 7 TeV by integrating the PACIAE parton and hadron cascade model with the DCPC coalescence model. The research simulates the yields, transverse momentum spectra, and rapidity distributions of these exotic nuclear states, which are formed by recombining protons, neutrons, and $\phi$ mesons. The theoretical predictions presented here serve as a crucial benchmark for future experimental verification.
$\phi$-mesic nuclei, previously unobserved, are predicted to form in high-energy $pp$ collisions, offering a new frontier for nuclear physics exploration.
A macroscopic method of the parton and hadron cascade model PACIAE combined with the coalescence model DCPC is employed to study the $φ$-mesic nuclei in $pp$ collisions at $\sqrt{s}$ = 7 TeV for the first time in this work. Based on the final hadronic states of $pp$ collisions simulated by the PACIAE model, the $φ$-mesic nuclei: $\mathrm{^3_φ H}(φ-pn)$, $\mathrm{^4_φ H}(φ-pnn)$, and $\mathrm{^4_φ He}(φ-ppn)$ are recombined by the DCPC model with constituents of protons, neutrons, and $φ$ mesons. Their yields, transverse momentum spectra, and rapidity distributions are simulated separately. These theoretical predictions call for experimental confirmation.
