We introduce a discrete analogue of geometric quantization over finite fields, demonstrating that applying this process to specific classical error-correcting codes generates quantum error-correcting codes. This work establishes a physical interpretation for an existing quantum-classical correspondence in coding theory, bridging abstract mathematical concepts with concrete quantum information processing. The key result is the construction of quantum stabilizer codes directly from classical codes via this novel quantization procedure.
Quantum stabilizer codes emerge directly from classical codes through a novel discrete geometric quantization process over finite fields.
We present a discrete analogue of geometric quantization over finite fields which, when applied to certain classical error-correcting codes, yields quantum error-correcting codes. This provides a physical interpretation for a previously known quantum-classical correspondence in coding theory.
