We establish a double-logarithmic upper bound of $O(\log\log n)$ on the chromatic number of the associahedron $\mathcal{A}_n$. This significantly improves upon the prior best known bound of $O(\log n)$, providing a tighter characterization of the graph's coloring properties. The result has implications for understanding the combinatorial structure of associahedra and related geometric objects.
The chromatic number of the associahedron is proven to grow only double-logarithmically with its size.
We show that the associahedron $\mathcal{A}_n$ has chromatic number $O(\log\log n)$, improving on the previously best known upper bound of $O(\log n)$.
