The authors investigate the deformation theory of compact, simply-connected Bismut flat manifolds by perturbing their underlying complex structures. This deformation generates strictly novel families of complex manifolds that admit pluriclosed metrics while explicitly breaking the Bismut flatness condition. The resulting constructions yield new non-Kähler geometries that provide concrete candidates for pluriclosed solitons and non-trivial Bismut Hermitian-Einstein metrics across arbitrary dimensions.
Deforming the complex structure of Bismut flat manifolds preserves pluriclosedness while stripping away flatness, unlocking previously inaccessible non-Kähler geometries in arbitrary dimensions.
We deform the complex structure of compact simply-connected Bismut flat manifolds, obtaining new complex manifolds that admit pluriclosed metrics but do not admit Bismut flat metrics. This produces genuinely new examples of pluriclosed manifolds while enriching our understanding of the deformation theory of pluriclosed metrics. Moreover, our main result is relevant for the search of pluriclosed solitons and non-trivial Bismut Hermitian Einstein metrics in all dimensions.
