The authors investigate bounded self-similar solutions to the exponential semilinear heat equation by adapting the $F$-functional and entropy framework from mean curvature flow. They prove that every non-constant bounded self-similar profile is strictly entropy-unstable, while the trivial profile $w \equiv 0$ is quantitatively isolated among bounded solutions. These results establish both a sharp variational instability theorem for nontrivial self-similar profiles and a quantitative rigidity theorem for the flat state in nonlinear parabolic flows.
Non-constant self-similar profiles in exponential reaction-diffusion equations are fundamentally entropy-unstable, proving that only the trivial flat state possesses quantitative rigidity under geometric entropy functionals.
In this paper, we study bounded self-similar solutions for the exponential semilinear heat equation via the $F$-functional and entropy. Motivated by recent developments in mean curvature flow, we prove that every non-constant bounded solution of the self-similar equation is entropy unstable. We also show that the trivial profile $w\equiv0$ is quantitatively isolated among bounded solutions. These results provide both a variational instability theorem for nontrivial profiles and a rigidity theorem for the trivial profile.
