This paper completes the explicit computation of global log canonical thresholds (glct) for Burniat surfaces and extends the determination to infinite families of surfaces of general type constructed as $\mathbb{Z}_2^n$-covers of $\mathbb{P}^2$ and $\mathbb{P}^1 \times \mathbb{P}^1$. Calculating these thresholds is a fundamental problem in birational geometry that dictates singularity severity and Tian's $\alpha$-invariants for K-stability. The resulting closed-form invariants resolve longstanding open classifications for these classical quotient surfaces and characterize their stability boundaries.
Burniat surfaces now have fully closed-form global log canonical thresholds, resolving the final open cases in their singularity characterization across abelian Galois covers.
In this paper, we complete the computation of the global log canonical thresholds of Burniat surfaces. Additionally, we determine the global log canonical thresholds for certain infinite families of surfaces of general type, constructed as $ \mathbb{Z}_2^n $-covers of $\mathbb{P}^2$ or $\mathbb{P}^1 \times \mathbb{P}^1$.
